Transfer of Partner Funds to Other Countries

For Institutions wishing to send funds to overseas partners in Hungary, Romania, India or the Philippines, the UUPCC offers an easy-to-use, free transfer service for UUPCC member congregations. Please fill out this Transfer Form and send it with a check made payable to "UUPCC" to:

483 E. Lockwood Ave, Suite 109
St. Louis, MO 63119

The transfer form is used by the UUPCC staff to prepare information to be sent to Unitarian/Universalist headquarters in the various countries. The bank transfer is done electronically. The paper copies of the forms are not sent with the funds. Therefore, please make sure that you contact someone in your partner congregation to let them know that the money is coming. Transfers generally get to partner churches within 7-10 days of our transfer of funds. Transfers to the Philippines and NE India can take significantly longer. The UUPCC pays the transfer fees for UUPCC member donations made by check. If remitting funds by credit card, there is an additional 3% charge to cover the credit card fees. There is a $35 fee for any unscheduled transfer.

Transfer Schedules

Transylvania: (12x's a year) UUPCC processes checks as they arrive and transfers are made on the first of every month.

Sending Money to Individuals

If you are an individual sending a birthday gift or a wedding present or private student support that is not part of a church program, a good way to send it is by using a money transfer service such as MoneyGram (available at many CVS locations) or Western Union.  These reliable, secure, low-cost services are easy to use: generally the sender pays at a retail store and is given a reference number that the overseas recipient uses to receive the funds at a local bank. Please note, if we receive a check intended for an individual, we will return it to you as we don't handle transfers to invidivuals.
