Rev. David Keyes to Receive the Cornish Award

UUPCC’s Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Rev. Dr. David Keyes is this year’s recipient of the Louis C. Cornish “Living the Mission” Award for 2013 in recognition of his dedication and commitment to the partnership movement.

David served on the UUPCC Board for twelve years, two of those as president. He encouraged the UUPCC to expand the vision of partnership beyond Eastern Europe and fostered partnership connections in the Philippines and other countries. He guided the vision of early partnerships to see beyond charity and to develop true partnerships grounded in friendship. He authored Most Like An Arch in 1999 and championed the research of the UUPCC “Fairness and Awareness” task force. He was one of the founders and a president of Project Harvest Hope and its successful economic development programs.

In his capacity as an interim minister he has enhanced and deepened partnership in every church he has served. He has personally taken many pilgrims to Transylvania. He also started some partnerships. His commitment to this movement is professional, personal, and profound. His contributions of time, treasure and talent continue to be outstanding.

For all that he has done and continues to do, we are pleased to honor him with this award. Please join us at the UUPCC Annual Meeting and Lunch at General Assembly in Louisville on Friday at noon when we will present this well-deserved award to David.  ••
