A membership meeting was held via Zoom and with a quorum in attendance, this question was put forth for a vote:

  • Do you approve the proposed direction from the September “A New Vision” report, which recommends the UUPCC and the ICUU combine the two into a new entity?

The vote was overwhelmingly YES to support the direction of the ongoing discussions of the committee.

Dear UUPCC Members and Supporters,

Earlier this year representatives from the International Council of Unitarians and Universalists (ICUU) and the Unitarian Universalist Partner Church Council (UUPCC), met to explore whether and how our organizations might work in a more collaborative and sustainable way. Representatives for the UUPCC were Rev. Morgan McLean, Board President, Rev. John Gibbons, former Board member and long-time supporter, and Rev. Fred Muir, Interim Executive Director (Rev. Roger Bertschausen left the team in mid-July when he accepted an interim ministry in Madison WI.).

During this time, the team explored and assessed both organizations, their missions and visions. The unanimous conclusion of the team was the need for a new single organization that would more effectively take forward the shared values of ICUU and UUPCC.
