For more a decade the UUPCC Pilgrimage Service has helped to cement the bonds between North American UUs and their partners overseas.
In recent years we have expanded our portfolio of travel services in order to provide multiple and varied pilgrimage opportunities for Unitarian Universalists of all ages.
However, the focus and core offering of our service remains Congregational Pilgrimages.
The past five years has seen almost 1000 US and Canadian UUs representing more than 150 congregations travel with us to visit partners around the globe.
These pilgrimage groups ranged in size from 4-40 and we worked with each of them to customize an itinerary that met their time frame and interests.
To begin planning your pilgrimage, please select "Planning a Trip" from the menu at the left.
If your church is not partnered or you are not able or willing to organize your own group we offer a number of group tours for UUs of all ages and interests.

Spring 2010 Philippines Pilgrimage
March 5- March 16, 2010
During March, 2010, the UUPCC will sponsor a group pilgrimage to experience the remarkable people and culture of the Philippines. There are over 2,500 Unitarian Universalists worshipping in 29 different congregations in the Philippines today, mostly on the large tropical island of Negros. Their dreams and the determination of the UU Church of the Philippines to realize them and grow as a faith are truly inspirational. During this trip you will be warmly welcomed and offered a feast for your mind and your heart. Among the experiences you will have are these:
- A visit to the Unitarian Universalist Church of the Philippines headquarters in the university town of Dumaguete where you will learn of their programs, ministry and aspirations.
- A tour of historical sights in Manila followed by a cultural show highlighting island dances and amazing local dishes.
- Visits to several UU congregations in Manila and on Negros Island. These congregations include Nataban, the original home village of Toribio Quimada on Negros, Aquino, home of the UU preschool, and Banaybanay, a progressive mountain village.
- A visit to a lovely beach resort for a chance to appreciate the island beauty.
Our trip will begin in Manila on March 5. Here you will be introduced to each other and receive an orientation to our trip and the Filipino culture. You will visit a fledgling UU church in Metro Manila and an active UU discussion group. Then you will fly over many of the more than 7,000 islands of the Philippines to reach Dumaguete on Negros Island and begin your Negros adventure. After your introduction to the UUCP you will enjoy a tour of Silliman University and other aspects of this fascinating seaside town. After several days of visits to village congregations, you’ll return to Dumaguete to say your farewells to the UUCP, then return to Manila the following day, March 16. From there you will return home..with memories to last your lifetime.
The cost of the spring trip is $1450. This cost includes all in-country transportation, accommodations, meals, drivers, interpreters, entrance fees and your registration fee. It does not include your airfare to Manila, gratuities, alcoholic beverages, personal expenses, and airport transfers before/after specified trip dates. There is a $300 additional fee for travelers who would like a singles accommodation.
